The location is very good, the room was clean and comfortable.
Excellent location next to the Alhambra entrance! Quiet and peaceful. Nice walk in the woods of Alhambra to downtown or to the Albaicin area. Value for money - room was huge compared.
The water pipes are rather noisy when using the bathroom.
Balcony had beautiful view of Alhandra gardens.
Excellent location a few steps away from La Alhambra. Clean, helpful staff and comfortable rooms.
The location was excellent. It is right next to the Alhambra entrance and parking. Easy to locate. The staff spoke excellent English and where very helpful. It fantastic value for the location.
Childs bed was not setup on arrival. We had to call down to get it setup.
Needed modernisation not as bright as photos
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel just across the road from the Alhambra
Air conditioning made room smell unpleasant
The lovely cool bar on a 46 deg day! Good choice of eateries very close, and parking opposite. The proximity to L"Alahambra entrance - just across the road, great position!
There was nothing we didnt like about Hotel Gualdalupe
Excellent location to the alcazaba. Walked to town and took a taxi back. Room was excellent
We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, location for the Alhambra excellent, plenty of parking opposite (approx 14 euros a day). There are buses and taxis down to the centre of Granada, use these as it is a very steep walk. (Taxis are inexpensive). One point, the address on the website doesn't come up on gps so I rang the hotel and the very helpful receptionist gave me the correct address (Carmino Viejo del Cementerio) and this took us straight to the hotel. Note: in one of the little restuarants just down from the hotel - ask the price of the house wine before ordering as we were charged 15 euros which is way over the top! Will definitely visit this hotel again.
Nothing it was perfect for us.
The hotel was nice and comfortable. Clean, nice size room and bathroom although the pipes screeched w/ every flush. The location was good for the Alhambra, but a tough long walk to town -- especially with the warm weather; the walk back up the hill was next to impossible. So, we ended up taking alot of buses and cab rides to get around. The staff was helpful in an adequate way, however seemed a little tired and not particularly friendly. The breakfast was not included and was pricey with not much alternative close by.
Greasy spoon cafe type dinner at cordon blue type price,
We booked because of it's location at the entrance to the Alhambra, and the off-season rate made it an incredible bargain. We were given a room on the top floor with a terrace and an Alhambra view, which only added to the value. We ate twice at the restaurant two doors down which had a good value menu del dia. Very comfortable room and bed. Very easy to get to by car, reduced parking rate when you park in the Alhambra lot.
Internet was only available in the lobby and dining area, but they are in the process of upgrading and wi-fi should be available in all rooms in the near future.
Clean, helpful staff, location, reasonable price
A lovely, friendly, beautifully kept small hotel. We had a lovely room on the top floor with a view to the Olive groves immediately behind the hotel, the City down the hill and the mountains in the distance. Perfect for the Alhamra Palace which is just across the road. Perfect for a walk into the old town (if you are able, the hills are a bit steep) but worth the effort. There is a regular bus service also. Cafe and the restaurant were very good and reasonably priced considering our location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Parking, the hotel doesn't have its own car park so use the Alhambra parking lot. You must factor in the cost. It costs around 17 euros for a 24 period so its not too deadly.
